Introduction to the youth work organisation qualities for PMH promotion
Youth organizations make one of the main target groups of this project. As the main providers of services that support the personal and social development of young people, youth organizations are the structures through which youth workers and other professionals from the youth field can promote positive mental health of young people. Hence, it is essential that organizations adopt principles that support positive mental health of young people, and that they assist youth workers in developing their competences and applying the newly developed approaches in their daily work.
All outputs of this project target youth organizations, as well as youth workers. The use of these outputs will ensure that all organizational staff, not only the youth workers, will raise their awareness, increase their knowledge and adopt approaches related to supporting positive mental health of young people. In this way, we will ensure that the organizations meet the quality criteria necessary for supporting positive mental health of young people.
All outputs for youth organisations are available in the Resources section of the web page.
Overview of IO2 organisations’ manual
The Youth Organizations Manual is part of the second intellectual output of this project. The manual addresses the question of what youth organizations need to do to embed positive mental health in their organizational culture and structure. By directly supporting organizations, the project takes a systemic approach towards creating preconditions for promoting positive mental health of young people.
The Youth Organizations Manual is still in a process of development. Once it is ready, it will be made available here and in the downloads section of this web page.
